Hi I’m Tamhas with business websites Australia. Today I’m going to tell you about the importance of having your business locations, your business service areas, listed on your website on the homepage of your website.
We can see here Star Building Inspections. That’s my client. And if we scroll down his homepage, we’ll see there he’s got all of his service areas listed. The major locations within his service area. We’ve got a map there as well, for customers to see easily if they’re in his area.
This is important, not just for the customers who can click in and see the details of the service for each area, but also for Google, because Google Maps will actually see these and from these they will confirm that you service a particular area or not.
So we can see here originally we had him already on Page #1 for building inspections Hoppers Crossing, which is where he’s located. We can see that he is in page one of the Google search results in this Google Maps box, which you’ll get in if you are the top 3 for any service in a particular location.
In addition to that now since we’ve added these service areas we also have him listening on the first page in Little River. In Manor Lakes. In Truganina. And in Wyndham Vale.
And now in addition to that if a customer clicks through into page 1 of the maps results, we’ve also got him listed on Point Cook, Caroline Springs Maddingley, Melton South, Melton West, Taylors Lakes and Williams Landing, all in that area around him
And we’re in Google Maps Page #2 for some results, page #5, page #6 and then some we are not appearing in yet. But just from doing this exercise of listing the locations and making sure they’re also listed in Google Maps in the Google My Business listing, we’ve already got him on the first page of Google search results for all of these extra areas.
